Pastor Ray has a way of explaining things that really bring home the message. Today he was talking about how our soul yearns to be in the presence of the Lord. Before Christ, we would have to go through the high priests and saints to have access to the Lord. Someone asked why Christians do not pray to saints. They tried to explain the logic using this analogy: if you wanted to speak to the president, it would help if you knew the VP or his chief of staff. You could call on them and they could arrange a meeting. The answer to that is this: if you were the president's son, access would be pretty easy. The son always has a direct line to his father. We have been given this direct line by the grace of Jesus Christ. Grace is free but it was not cheap. The door to heaven is very narrow. Big enough for one man...Jesus and only Jesus. He said, " I am the way, the truth and the light, no one comes to the father except through me." John 14:6 (NIV). The door to heaven is through Jesus. It may be a narrow door but it opens to eternity. Amen!!
